FIT + SIZING

How do the women's shirts fit?

Our women's sun shirts have a relaxed, flattering fit with plenty of stretch and give. We recommend choosing your usual size.

Then give your numerical conversion or link directly to your size guide.

How do the kids’ shirts fit?

Our kids’ shirts are intentionally designed with an oversized, relaxed fit so they’re comfortable and you get plenty of wear as they grow.

We recommend choosing their usual size.

 

If your child is taller or on the higher end of the size range for their age, you can size up. It’ll simply be a little longer - and the cuffs are fitted enough that you can roll the sleeves and they’ll stay in place.

No need to automatically size up for growing room - we’ve already built that in. 🙌

What if I'm between sizes?

Our fabric has plenty of stretch, so you'll likely fit comfortably across more than one size - it really comes down to how you like your shirts to fit.

For example, if you're a size 10:

S / 8–10 → choose this for a closer fit
M / 10–12 → choose this for a more relaxed fit

If you’re unsure, we recommend choosing the size that matches how you prefer your clothes to fit, rather than stressing over the number.

SUN PROTECTION + FABRIC

Can I swim in my Sol & Tide shirt?

Sol & Tide is designed as everyday clothing, but our quick-drying fabric is perfectly at home around water too.

Wear it to the park, beach, café or pool - and if you end up in the water, jump in. No outfit change required.

What does UPF 50+ actually mean?

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. Our UPF 50+ fabric blocks at least 98% of UV radiation, giving covered skin serious protection from the sun.

Will it feel hot on warm days?

Our fabric is lightweight, breathable and cooling, designed to keep women and kids comfortable through hot, active days.

This is one of the things customers tell us they notice immediately — it's incredibly soft and comfortable against the skin.

Is Sol & Tide suitable for sensitive skin?
